The part you cannot see

The hard part isn’t the address

It is the person. Ton has been doing these routes for three years and most of the job is knowing which reception desks will take a delivery, which wards will not, and which building security will stop a rider in the lobby.

All of it is below, including the awkward parts.

Sunday deliveries are morning only, Zones 1–3. After the cutoff it goes on the first delivery the next morning.

Zones

What it costs to get there

Delivery zones and fees
Zone Distance Fee How
Zone 1 Within 3 km — the soi, the hospital, the school, the offices on the main road Free On foot or by motorbike
Zone 2 3 – 8 km ฿80 Motorbike
Zone 3 8 – 15 km ฿150 Motorbike or van
Zone 4 15 – 25 km ฿250 Van only, morning window

Beyond 25 km we do not deliver. We will give you the name of a shop that does.

Anything in water, anything in a vase, anything over 45 cm, every stand and every wreath goes in the van. Van windows are 09:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 17:00. A van delivery is a window, not a time. We would rather say that than promise a clock time we cannot hold.

The handover

Who it gets given to, everywhere we go

Flowers are the only gift that arrives without you. These are the rules we actually follow, including the ones that mean we say no.

Handover rules by destination
Where What happens
Default We hand it to reception or the front desk, and photograph it there.
Named recipient only Free — but you have to ask when you order. Ton waits for the person and hands it over himself.
Hospital We call the ward before we leave. Never ICU. If the ward refuses it, we bring it back, we do not charge the delivery fee, and we call you.
Office tower Reception, unless you asked for named-recipient. Building security often will not let a rider past the lobby, and we do not argue with them.
Condominium The juristic office. Most will not accept anything with water in it, so we send it wrapped rather than in a vase.
Hotel The concierge. We need a room number, not only a name.
Temple, for a wreath To the sala, before 5:00 PM, carried in and stood up by Ton rather than left at the gate.
A private home To the door. If it is a gated village, we need the house number and the gate name — guards will not take flowers on someone’s behalf.
Nobody there Ton waits 20 minutes, then calls you. If it still cannot be handed over it comes back to the shop, goes in the cooler, and we re-deliver once, the next morning, free.

Named-recipient handover costs nothing, but it is not the default and we cannot add it after the rider has left. Ask for it when you order.

We do not deliver to ICU

Most intensive care units do not accept flowers at all, and we would rather say that here than after you have paid. We call the ward before the rider leaves.

If a ward turns a delivery away, it comes back to the shop, we do not charge the delivery fee, and we call you to decide what to do with it. That happens perhaps twice a month and it has never once been the customer’s fault.

How you know it arrived

Two photographs

Before it leaves

Every bouquet is photographed on the bench after the last minute, and sent to you on LINE. That photograph is what you are buying, and you see it before it goes.

At the handover

If you ask, Ton photographs the delivery too — the flowers at the door, not the person’s face. We do not photograph people who did not agree to it.

Anonymous deliveries

We will deliver without your name on the card. If the recipient asks who sent it, we say we cannot tell them. That is the whole policy and there are no exceptions to it.

Everything is sent on LINE, to @bloomblossom-demo. It is a demo account and it is not connected to anything.
