Never send
A wreath, when you meant a bouquet to the family.
- A wreath goes to the temple and is seen by everyone who attends. A bouquet goes to the family. They are different acts.
- Nothing is forbidden in a wreath itself. This is the only mistake worth warning about.
What we would tell you in the shop
Known here as พวงหรีด. We deliver to the sala before 5:00 PM, before people arrive, and Ton carries it in and stands it up rather than leaving it at the gate.
A Thai temple funeral usually runs for several nights. Ask which night you are attending, or which night the family would like it to arrive — it is a reasonable question and nobody will mind you asking it.
If you do not know the sala number, we will find it. Ton asks at the temple office.
The card
The ribbon, not a card. Free, Thai or English, up to 60 characters, and we read it back to you before it is printed.
Free, always, with any order. Thai, English or Chinese. Say which when you order. If you do not know what to write, say so. We will send three lines for the occasion and you pick one or change it. Most people do this and it is not unusual.
